We specialize in authentic cuisine, including our signature jerk chicken and oxtails. Whether you’re looking for familiar flavors or brand new, you will love Coastline Caribbean Restaurant.
Our Jamaican Restaurant provides comfort food in a relaxing atmosphere, and has been the plays to eat Jamaican food for over 10 years.
You don’t always have time to eat out, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make time for great flavors. Get some Caribbean take out to bring the seafood restaurant to your home.
I had the curry shrimp, cabbage and mac & cheese. The mac tasted so good! Never had a complaint, their food has never disappointed. I recommend them to alot of people I know.
Absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE
Delicioussss fooooddddd omgggg! ?? I had no idea this little place even existed, and I live right down the street!!???? this will definitely not be my last visit!!
Man, I'm addicted to this place. This is a hidden gem. From the ox tails to the jerk Chicken, you cannot go wrong. Never had anything bad. Always on point!
Best Jamaican food hands down
Before COVID 19, I visited this quaint little restaurant, i was definitely pleased with the service, they really catered to my diet (Pescatarian) Whenever I visit Gulfport again.....best believe I'm taking my stomach there ? lol. Thanks guys
Amazing! We’re road tripping across the country, tasting local places along the way and this was the BEST stop we’ve made thus far. Next time I’m in town I’m here!
Best food ever. Chicken moist. Cabbage a hit. Rice and peas with the stew chicken on top? Whew.
Right before COVID 19, I visited this quaint little restaurant....i must say that I was very pleased, I'm a pescatarian and they really catered to my diet, food was mouth watering and simply delish.....
Whenever I visit Gulfport again, I'm bringing my stomach there????
Meat pies all I gotta say
Had the lunch plates several times the last few weeks while working in town. So good and definitely authentic. Great job. And the staff was friendly and chatty
I am from New Orleans and have been to Jamaica & other places in the Caribbean so I know good food. These people do amazing things with food here. You MUST try if you are around here, hell even if your not take a ride to Gulfport and get some !! But warning, your gonna want more. All the meats are amazing so dont be shy get a lil of everything and take some extra home for later. Trust me, you wont be disappointed.
I had the jerk chicken today. Yesterday I had oxtails with brown chicken stew. I tried the rum cake and it snuck up on me. I loved it. The staff will even let u try a sample. I recommend coming here to get some good Caribbean soul food.
Fantastic jerk chicken, very reasonable prices, and sides are delicious. This is a to-go joint but there is limited seating available if you want to eat in. The food is mostly prepared so it should be really quick to come grab a bite and go. I'm very excited to try the other dishes like goat curry or oxtail, but you can't go wrong with the jerk.
jer chicken was greatly sp iui ced and tasty. al lb food seemed authentic.
Thought it was very good. Nice service and good portions. A bit more flavor/kick in the curry would get five stars for me.
This was the best Caribbean food I've ever had. I found it on yelp on my way back to Hattiesburg and almost turned around to get a few more plates to take home with me. I got the curry chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage. That cabbage is what set everything off for me. And the curry wasn't too overpowering. Just perfect.
The food here is amazing. Wonderful service. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
Hello to all,
I want to thank this restaurant for her Oxtail plate that I bought. It was so good I went back to them for a plate to take home after ending my trip to the Coast. They have the best Jamaican food in Mississippi. The price for the amount of the Oxtails was well worth it. Will visit every tint I come to Gulf port. Mississippi.
Outstanding food, authentic flavor, great service
And an A posted from inspection. I can't believe line is not the out the door.
The food was great wish they would have had plantains. That touch of sweetness would have balanced out the spicy.
It took my by surprise when I saw the Jamaican flag as I was detouring around some traffic. Being from the islands myself I couldn't help, but stop although it was right between lunch and dinner.
The food was very good and enough for two people unless you eat more than your share for one person... I enjoyed it tremendously and they had all the authentic trimmings including Ting soda!!! It made my day so much that to get the full effect, I took my meal to the beach a block away to eat it.
I plan on getting lost there more often. It's definitely the only show for Caribbean food for miles around, probably on the Gulf Coast outside of Houston, TX. They will need support so if you like Jamaican and Caribbean food or would like to try it I recommend looking them up.
Absolutely LOVE this place. I go at least twice a week. The oxtails are soooooooo good.
This is the realest Jamaican food spot in town!! The food is made fresh and authentic to Jamaica. I am living in Washington, DC now and I can not find a quality jamaican food spot. This place will beat or give competition to any jamaican food spot in your town or city.
The lunch special starts at $6.00 with a drink included. It consists of rice and peas, plaintain, cabbage, and jerk chicken/stew chicken, or curry chicken.
Definately worth a trip!
Great food! Big portions! Friendly staff! Good prices for a taste of Jamaica. You def have to try the jerk chicken.
I haven't had the food yet but it smelled amazing in there! IM never hungry enough to want it when i remember about this small little place. I go in to buy some of the Jamaican groceries they have when IM having my car worked on next door. Pretty good Jamaican soda!!! I can't wait to try the food next.
Breath of fresh air here on the coast to have authentic Jamaican food. Being from Brooklyn, I'm skeptical about a lot of places. Not much seating but that doesn't deter me. Portions are big and they have sweet plantains which I love
Very small place. More of a takeout joint. Approx 3 tables and mini grocery with two shelves full of Goodies. Food was authentic and good. Sometimes they may be out of something's but just gives you the opportunity to try something else. Give it a try even if it is takeout.
Authentic cuisine. The spice seemed to have just the right amount of heat at least for my taste. Excellent mix of dirty rice and fine gravy. Friendly service from the counter and free drink at lunch. Also the selection from chicken to shrimp in various treatments leaves much more sampling to be done on later visits. The place is clean and simple with a few tables for those not taking out.
Great food. Large dinner feeds two adults easily. Jerked chicken didn't have a lot of heat but they provided a cup of delicious hot sauce to spice it up. Can't wait to try other things on the menu. While we were dining we got to here a lot of jamaican language spoken which added to the experience.
This place reminds me of the food back in Houston. The only thing bad I will say is that the oxtails were small and for a medium plate I only got four. Just a heads up they only take cash. I will be back to try the remaining menu!
The first time I came here I tried the oxtail. Had oxtails before in Tallahassee Florida and felt these weren't seasoned right. I decided to give it another try and they were sold out of oxtail so went with the jerk chicken which I tried when I was in New York City. It was excellent. They don't accept cards which is an inconvenience for me and they don't offer restrooms. Great lady that served me the last time. Will be back.
Looks sketchy, but the best places are! Great simple food at the right price.
The ox tails and rice and beans were really, really good. I like it so much I wanted to give it 5 stars, but at $12 (lunch special or not) for a regular sized plate was on the expensive side. Really expensive considering back home I can get that amount for about 7 or 8 bucks. But try this place if you're ever in the mood for Jamaican food.
Ate there earlier. Pretty good food and pretty good service. Chicken falls off the bone, making it easier to eat. I did order the curry chicken, which was pretty darn good. Would be better if they had a spicy curry option, but overall great food, service, and price!!
Love her food. Try the oxtails. One plate is enough for two meals just ask for additional plantains. No additional charge. They could not be any nicer. Would recommend this place to anyone and do on a regular basis.
This place is a hidden gem of Caribbean food. They even have ting! This is not the place to visit if you want reliable hours or service. It seems like they make the food and when they're out they're done. But if you want some amazing take out from a hole in the wall you have to check this place out. My husband is from Trinidad and he was very impressed. Next time we're in Gulfport we'll be back.
Really good curried goat! Served over authentic rice & peas and a delicious side of cabbage. The owner was friendly, gave me a free sample of the oxtail, as well as a lesson in how to eat it!
I wish their drink cooler had a diet softdrink for me. Other than that, will be looking forward to my next visit.
Visited this place while here on the gulf coast for work off of the Yelp reviews, and I wasn't disappointed!!
The establishment is small which are the best spots! No glitz and glamor, just straight good home cook food! The staff was very nice and helpful in assisting us with any questions we had..
I elected for the lunch special which came with a lot of food, damn! (in a good way)...The price was very reasonable too.. it was like $7.99.. I choose the curry chicken, cabbage, fried plantains & rice and peas..
The curry chicken was very flavorful, and everything came out fresh and hot! Everything reminded me as if I was back home in the Virgin Islands visiting family, the food was that authentic!!
If you are in the local area, I would give this place a try.. I will be back, if I am in the local area for sure!!
I remembered eating here years ago, so I decided to stop in for lunch today and I am very happy with My decision. I had the lunch special which included Jerk chicken, rice & beans (I added gravy), with steamed cabbage and a soda. The chicken was amazing, full of flavor and the chicken was so tender. The cabbage were steamed just right with carrots and red bell peppers that enhanced the flavor. I'm not a fan of beans, but I knew the rice had beans in it, it wasn't an excessive amount of beans and the gravy added a melt in your mouth feel. At $8.29 (tax included) I will definitely be visiting again. I'm a big eater and half way through the plate I am full! Very filling, reasonable price, friendly staff and good eats!!
This place was great!! I work on an ambulance so we're always looking for quick lunch spots. This place hit the nail on the head! The food was out of this world good, the woman serving me was super nice and very helpful. Very affordable and they give you a lot of food. It was all very quick! I would give them more stars if I could. Absolutely fantastic.
I love this place..calm vibe with Jamaican music playing in the background. My favorite is the curry chicken with rice and peas and plantains. Yum
Very favorful food... the price is just right!! I have enough for my dinner tonight the service was wonderful and the staff assisted in helping you decide. All types of Jamaican snack, treats, and drinks... very disappointed they didn't have any collard greens... can't wait to visit again
I got the oxtail and jerked chicken. Both were flavorful. Wasn't a big fan on the rice and beans but they were okay. When we first walked in nobody was in front to greet us or take our order.
I left the coast in 09 and I'm back and this place is still poppin our good food. I'm so glad this place is still here and man this food is Ono
OMFG the beef patties are amazing. Taste just like I'm back in Jamaica !!! I will be back a few times before I leave town. And gonna take a few home with me.
Ambiance: Family owned, authentic carribean food. Bob Marley was playing the entire time. Very chill vibe. Time moves slower when you eat here.
Parking may be rough as it is right next to a mechanic shop... Don't let this discourage you. This place has very yummy food. Variety of curries and classic jamacian jerk chicken. There's primarily one person that cooks and he is amazing at it.
Great home cooked food. Ox tails with Rice and bean with cabbage. Oh was it good. First time here always seen the restaurant but never stopped . It will not be my last time.
It's a great place and awesome food! Everyone is friendly and helpful. Very very clean. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. If you've been to the Caribbean and you are craving the food, well it's there! The only thing missing is Red Stripe. But their Jamaican ginger beers are stout .
We have been down To the Caribbean many times before and this food is the second best Caribbean food we have ever had (the other was a stand on the side of the road in Costa Rica)... you will not have better food in the south! It supersedes all other food, It is a MUST do! Very very reasonable! The lunch special was about 7$ and very filling (we got the brown gravy chicken stew and the plantains were perfectly cooked and the collard greens were good (would recommend rice instead just to soak up the brown gravy) we got also two sides of meet for about 3$... the jerk chicken and the curry chicken are unbelievable... they even have a peanut drink! The place is very clean and the staff is friendly! I would give them 10 stars if I could!
We came back on Saturday cause we wanted to get their ackee and fish breakfast which is good too and only done on Saturday... I am not a cabbage person but i would eat this cabbage all day
One of my fav. Lunch spots. Staff is super friendly and the food is amazing! Make sure to get the cabbage, its the best I have ever had. 10$ will get you a lunch plate and a can drink.
The Jerk Chicken is awesome!! Love it!
My first time in golfport Mississippi, and I was looking for where to dine for lunch, this place meet all my expectations and the staffs are also respectful. I will definitely come back.
Oxtails are unmatched and that Junkanoo juice medley is BOMB ????????
Good food good people good atmosphere
Coastal Caribbean restaurant has great food great people and great service
This was some of the best curry chicken I’ve had in a long time!! Definitely my new spot! And the collard greens are fantastic!
Food so good..would like my jerk a little more spicey but cabbage is outta this world! Always friendly!
It's small and easy to miss but it's definitely worth trying out.
Great food at affordable price was first time when I went couple weeks ago
Entire menu is good, you cant go wrong with the food there.
Went in after jerk chicken. Wasn't going to be ready for another 30 min. Had brown stewed chicken, cabbage and rice and peas. Can you say DELISH? O my goodness! Wish I lived here I would be a regular for sure!!!! Definitely good Jamaica food!!!! The owners were awesome... let me have a sample before I bought what I had. Very Kind people! Thank You!
Don't miss this place! It's awesome and tasty!
It may look like a normal place to eat but it's so delicious and the lady that attended us was so nice to us.
Really, If you come down the road and you don't get it, you're a fool!
